FALL NEWS:

The Van Vorst Park Association has postponed the date of our September meeting.  We will have our meeting next Tuesday September 25th. Same place, Same Time.  Barrow Mansion, 7:30pm. We will welcome Michele Massey our Ward F City Council woman to give us a update on what’s happening in our ward and around the city.  And Jeff Zak will show us updated plans for Liberty Harbor North Redevelopment.  He is looking for community input before he presents amendments before City Council on September 27th.

Films in Van Vorst will not be showing it’s final scheduled movie of the summer, Tree of Life this Wednesday. We had a great turnout this summer and are so grateful to Jersey City Medical Center, Silverman:Building Neighborhoods, The City of Jersey City & Friends of Van Vorst Park. We look forward to another successful summer next year.  But you never know….there may be one more movie before then….so keep checking those emails.

This Saturday September 22nd from 10-5pm come out to VVP for the 5th Annual A Tale of our City.  Authors, Music & Entertainment all day Long—Singer/Songwriters*Poets*Spoken Word*Authors*Monologues*Short Stories and Bonnie the Magic Lady–Fun for the whole family!!

Also,…Creative Grove continues at Grove Path Plaza with great vendors,music and food every Friday…..Farmers Market in VVP every Saturday till November….Big Dig in Jersey City is in October–more info on that soon!
