Sue & Sterling will discuss the Jersey City public school system and current issues

affecting downtown and our Van Vorst district including teachers parking for PS3/MS4, changes in state funding, contracts, facilities and more.

We will follow with a Q&A so bring your questions.

Saturday Sept.18th St. Matthew’s 150th Anniversary Block Party 12-4 pm Wayne Street between Jersey and Varick. Music, dancing, performances, games, prizes, and delicious food, fun for kids and adults alike.

Wednesday Sept. 22nd 6:30 pm Application for demolition of the Harsimus Branch Embankment Zoning board of Adjustment, City Hall Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, 280 Grove Street.

Sept 24th-Oct 3rd The Attic ensemble presents “True West” by Sam Shepard Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm; Sunday matinees at 3 pm and Thursday September 30th at 7 pm. For more go to; www.atticensemble.org

Sept-Oct. Saturdays Van Vorst Park Farmer’s Market, starting May 15th and continuing each Saturday through November, from 8am-2pm; vendors will set up around the gazebo.
