TUES. MAY 27TH – Captain McDonough’s East District Monthly Meeting. The captain will respond to all questions, issues and concerns as well as provide presentations from the Narcotics and Street Crimes Unit. 7:00 p.m., at P.S. 4, located at Bright and Varick St.

WED.MAY 28TH J.C. Landmarks Conservancy Preservation Awards Ceremony Held each year at the Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theatre, Journal Square (across from PATH). The ceremony starts at 7:00 p.m. sharp! Cost per ticket: $25 at the lobby door. For more information go to

SAT. MAY 31st The 33rd Annual VVPA “MeetBall” The MeetBall is the downtown event of the spring. You can “Meet your neighbors and have a ball” while feasting on Jersey City’s finest food and drink donated by Bar Majestic, C-Side Restaurant, Edwards Steakhouse, John’s Pizzeria, Ox, The Embankment, Bon Appetito, Grand Banks, Legal Grounds, LITM, and Skinners Loft. There will be live big band music by “Cornucopia”, raffles and more. Advance tickets are available at many locations downtown for $20.00. Tickets are available at the door for 25.00.
