The Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy

Joshua Parkhurst, President of the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy will give us an update on recent conservancy initiatives including the Powerhouse and Reservoir 3.

The Embankment Preservation Coalition

The Federal Surface Transportation Board recently ruled that Conrail needed authorization to abandon the 6th Street Embankment prior to selling the property to a developer in 2005. The struggle to secure the Embankment, however, is not over! Learn how you can help!

The Sisters of Mercy

A representative from the Sisters of Mercy in Jersey City will speak to the VVPA about their various charity initiatives supporting downtown Jersey City.

Downtown Voter Registration Initiatives

Gretchen Scheiman, member of the Paulus Hook Neighborhood Association (HPNA) Board will provide an update on current downtown initiatives, materials, best practices to facilitate voter registration and awareness.

Sat. Sept 22 – Jersey City Reservoir Preservation Alliance JERSEY CITY COUNCIL FISHING DERBY Celebrate the Reservoir with long-time supporter Council President Mariano Vega and the City Council, with help from Andy Grey and the JC Recreation Dept. They’ll have trophies and prizes for the best catch of bass, sunfish, or other. 11AM
